Ali Koochek, MA, LCPC, earned his B.A. in psychology from the University of Maryland University College and an M.A. in clinical counseling from Alliant International University in San Francisco, CA. He later completed his Psy.D. in clinical psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington, D.C. His doctoral dissertation explored the efficacy of binaural beats technology as a nonpharmacological intervention to reduce agitation behaviors in individuals with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr. Koochek is currently completing a two-year fellowship at NeuroPsych Wellness under the supervision of Dr. Sweeney, where he specializes in neuropsychological and psychodiagnostics evaluations as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Focusing on neuropsychological disorders, psychosis, mood disorders, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as DBT and ACT, Dr. Koochek tailors his approach to meeting each client’s unique needs. He has extensive outpatient psychotherapy experience and has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds. His dedication to enhancing patient care is evident in his collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams.
As a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the American Psychological Association, Dr. Koochek demonstrates his commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining the highest standards in practice.
