Leigh Alfieris, MA

Leigh Alfieris is a Resident Counselor who graduated from the College of William and Mary with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration of Marriage and Family Counseling. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Women’s Studies from James Madison University. Leigh spent several years as a preschool teacher before interning at a play therapy center, as well as a family clinic. These experiences developed her interest in helping guide children and adolescents through the therapeutic process. In her daily work, Leigh strives to decrease the stigma of mental health by working alongside each patient to support them towards their desired growth. In her free time, Leigh enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and playing tennis.

Leigh Alfieris, Resident in Counseling is currently working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling. She provides clinical services under the supervision of Dr. Grace Hipona, LPC. As a Resident in Counseling, Leigh does not obtain or provide services on an independent basis, and she does not independently submit insurance claims.
