Samina Raja, M.D.

Dr. Raja is a native of Northern Virginia who has harbored a lifelong fascination with the enigmatic aspects of the human mind, body, and behavior, making psychiatry a natural choice of specialty for her. She began her journey in medicine by studying human anatomy at Georgetown University’s School of Medicine Summer Medical Institute program before matriculating at St. George’s University Medical School.

Dr. Raja completed her psychiatry residency training at Rutgers University and went on to further specialize in geriatric psychiatry by completing a fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Raja now works full-time at NeuroPsych Wellness Center and is open to taking new patients Her professional interests include working with patients to provide both medication management and psychotherapy, particularly for those struggling with anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Raja is passionate about mentoring her nieces and nephews, and she finds joy in music, interior design, traveling, and taking rejuvenating walks along the beach. Her diverse interests and dedication to family and personal well-being reflect her holistic approach to both life and patient care.
