Samina Raja, M.D.

Dr. Raja is a native of northern Virginia and has had a lifelong interest in the enigmatic aspects of the human mind, body, and behavior. Psychiatry, therefore, was a natural choice of specialty. Prior to matriculating at St. George’s University Medical School, she studied human anatomy at Georgetown University’s School of Medicine Summer Medical Institute program. Dr. Raja completed her residency training at Rutgers University. Following residency, she completed a geriatric psychiatry fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. In her free time, Dr. Raja enjoys being a mentor to her nieces and nephews, music, interior design, traveling, and rejuvenating walks along the beach.
